You’ve heard about cloud computing before, haven’t you? It means a type of Internet-based computing. In particular, storage, servers or applications delivered to an organisations’ computers or devices through the internet as an on-demand service.
From a garage in Bellevue to a presence felt worldwide, Amazon has significantly changed the way that we consume goods. The company, incorporated in 1994, thought big right from its early days. In 1995, they started to sell and ship their first book to all 50 U.S. states and 45 countries around the world.
Around ten years later, in 2006, Amazon launched a subsidiary, Amazon Web Services (AWS). Back then, it was a robust technology platform consisting only of some disparate tools and services. Meanwhile, AWS has become one of the, if not the, biggest on-demand cloud computing providers in the world, with a huge variety of services. The more than 125 services include for example databases, data storage services, management tools or media services.
Testing cloud computing concepts to increase customer satisfaction
The AWS Partner Network (APN) is the global partner program for AWS. The Network helps APN Partners to build successful AWS-based businesses or solutions by providing their partners with business, technical, marketing, and go-to-market support. APN Technology Partners provide software solutions that are either hosted on or integrated with the AWS platform. Such technology partners include Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), SaaS, PaaS, developer tools, management and security vendors.
AWS is a cloud provider, which is well-known and has a good reputation. It allows protel to test concepts and prototypes in the cloud, being supported by AWS’s team of experts. This, in turn, helps us to develop solutions in such a way that they perfectly fit the specific needs of our customers and technology partners worldwide.
